【Description】VAROXPERT is a white polymer strip.

【How it Works】Amitraz is an insecticide that works against a variety of mites, ticks, flies, and lice. It primarily works by touch, although it also possesses stomach poisoning and systemic absorption properties. Amitraz works as an insecticide by partly blocking monoamine oxidase. This enzyme helps process amine neurotransmitters in the nervous systems of ticks, mites, and other insects. Amitraz makes blood-sucking bugs very active. This excitement prevents them from attaching to the host's body, causing them to fall off. In beekeeping, amitraz also has a strong insecticidal effect on Varroa destructor and Tropilaelaps clareae mites.

【Drug Interactions】Do not use VAROXPERT in conjunction with pesticides and acidic drugs to avoid ineffectiveness.

【Action and Purpose】Used for the prevention and control of varroa mites.

【Dosage and Administration】

1. Use after harvesting bee products.

2. One application can maintain efficacy for 6 to 8 weeks. Suspend two strips in the center of a standard colony (10 frames of bees). One strip between frames 3 and 4, and the other one between frames 7 and 8. For colonies with 5 frames of bees or fewer, use one strip. For colonies with 6 to 10 frames of bees, use two strips. For bee colonies with 11 to 15 frames of bees, use three strips. For colonies with 16 frames of bees or more, use four strips.

3. Before you apply Varoxpert to the entire apiary, choose two or three colonies for a trial. Watch for 24 to 48 hours to identify the appropriate dosing plan. It is best to do the trial on a clear morning. This way, you can easily check the bee colony's condition. Then, you can change the dosage based on what you observe or record. You can raise or lower the number of strips based on the number of brood frames and the severity of the mite infestation.

【Adverse Reactions】This product has no significant adverse reactions on healthy bee colonies.

【Precautions】

1. VAROXPERT strips are not affected by temperature and can be used at both high and low temperatures. Do not use VAROXPERT strips if the bee colony is experiencing abnormal conditions. This includes sugar shortage, colony relocation, initial colony establishment, and other unusual events.

2. Don't leave the strips in the hive for more than 8 weeks at a time.

3. When hanging the strips, wear protective gloves and a mask; do not smoke, eat, or drink; wash your hands after hanging the strips.

4. Used strips must not be reused and should be disposed of in a centralized manner.

5. Avoid contacting the strips with edible honey. Store them separately from insecticides and other chemicals.

6. Store in a place away from food and out of reach of children; open the packaging before use.

7. Do not use during the honey flow period.
