【Description】VAROXPERT is a white polymer strip.

【Pharmacological Action】Amitraz is an insecticide effective against various mites, ticks, flies, and lice. It primarily acts on contact but also has stomach poison and systemic absorption effects. The insecticidal action of amitraz is to some extent related to its inhibition of monoamine oxidase, which is an enzyme involved in the metabolism of amine neurotransmitters in the nervous system of ticks, mites, and other insects. Due to the action of amitraz, blood-sucking arthropods become excessively excited, making it impossible for them to attach to the host's body, causing them to fall off. This product also has a strong insecticidal effect on Varroa destructor and Tropilaelaps clareae mites, and one application can maintain efficacy for 6 to 8 weeks.

【Drug Interactions】Do not use VAROXPERT in conjunction with pesticides and acidic drugs to avoid ineffectiveness.

【Action and Purpose】Used for the prevention and control of varroa mites.

【Dosage and Administration】

1． Use after harvesting bee products.

2． One application can maintain efficacy for 6 to 8 weeks. Hang two strips in the center of a standard colony (10 frames of bees), one between frames 3 and 4 and the other between frames 7 and 8. For colonies with 5 frames of bees or fewer, use one strip; for colonies with 6 to 10 frames of bees, use two strips; for colonies with 11 to 15 frames of bees, use three strips; for colonies with 16 frames of bees or more, use four strips.

 

3． Before applying to the entire apiary, select 2 to 3 colonies for a trial, and observe for 24 to 48 hours to determine the specific dosage regimen. It is best to conduct the trial on a clear morning for easy observation of the colony's condition and adjust the dosage accordingly based on the trial results. The number of strips to hang may be increased or decreased depending on the number of hives and the severity of mite infestation.

【Adverse Reactions】This product has no significant adverse reactions on healthy bee colonies.

【Precautions】

1. VAROXPERT strips are not affected by temperature and can be used at both high and low temperatures. Do not use VAROXPERT strips when the bee colony is in abnormal conditions such as sugar deficiency, bee colony relocation, initial colony establishment, or other abnormal situations.

2. The strips should not be continuously placed in the hive for more than 8 weeks.

3. When hanging the strips, wear protective gloves and a mask; do not smoke, eat, or drink; wash your hands after hanging the strips.

4. Used strips must not be reused and should be disposed of in a centralized manner.

5. Avoid contact between the strips and edible honey; do not store them together with pesticides or other chemical substances.

6. Store in a place away from food and out of reach of children; open the packaging before use.

7. Do not use during the honey flow period.
