        Make sure you have toothpicks and other small accessories ready to help with suspension beforehand. If you have a 10-frame brood box, suspend a half strip in the center of the brood area. Honey bees have the highest bee activity there. We recommend using 2-3 bee colonies for testing before adjusting and determining the dosage.

      • How does Apifluva-Pro compare to Apifluva?

        Apifluva-Pro strips have a higher fluvalinate content. They have a smaller surface area, with each half of the strip measuring 10.5cm in length and 2cm in width. They work better in bee colonies where the infestation of bee mites is slightly severe.

      • How many Apifluva-Pro strips per hive?

        For a 10-frame brood box, apply half a strip.

      • How long do you leave Apifluva-Pro strips in?

        Each strip can stay in the hive for 5~7 days. Then, remove the old strip and add a new one. In total, apply the strips 3 to 4 times as a course of mite treatment.

      • Can you use Apifluva-Pro with honey supers on?

        We do not recommend doing so. Apifluva-pro belongs to the synthetic pyrethroid group of bee mite treatments. The active ingredients tend to build up slowly in beeswax. It takes time for degradation to occur.
