    Apiflume is a PVC strip infused with flumethrin. It's an effective remedy for Varroa mites.

  • How to install Apiflume strips?

    You need to prepare toothpicks or similar tools. Each end of Apiflume strip has a small hole. Insert a toothpick through any one of the holes. Suspend the strip in the center of the brood frame. The dotted lines on the strip make it easier to split if you need to change the dosage.

  • How many Apiflume strips per hive?

    Pick 2 bee colonies to test first. For a 10-frame brood box, apply 0.5 to 1 strip. The strip can stay in the hive for 5 to 7 days. Apply 3 to 4 times of the same dose based on how severe the varroa mites infest the bee colonies.

  • When to use APIFLUME strips?

    You can apply the treatment during the spring before the bees start collecting nectar. Another treatment is during the autumn after harvesting honey production.
